Use Montana State OneDrive
Montana State University students, faculty and staff can use OneDrive for Business to store files, share files, and collaborate. Files in OneDrive are backed-up (and are an excellent way to have a back up plan for your work).
OneDrive is a part of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- For help getting started with OneDrive, visit our OneDrive Training Materials page.
- Log into your Microsoft Office account.
Compress a File Before Uploading to Canvas
Canvas has a file size limit of 5GB for uploading files, and a 500MB limit for uploading media (videos and audio). Therefore, it may be necessary to compress files. You can compress large files without loss of quality/resolution by using Adobe Lightroom. The Adobe Creative Cloud, including Lightroom, is available to all MSU students:
An alternative would be to load the image file to your OneDrive account and post that link to your Canvas assignment.
Meet with My Instructor or Others in Real Time
Schedule meetings or group sessions wherever you are, whenever you want, with Webex, MSU's online video meeting service.
Use Microsoft Teams
Make a Presentation
Students at MSU have a Panopto account to record presentations.
