Academic Technology & Outreach (ATO) is Montana State University's academic outreach arm. ATO is dedicated to sharing MSU's vast resources with the citizens of our communities at the local, state, regional, national and international levels. We partner with the university's educators and researchers to create unique educational opportunities for youth and adults, both on and off campus.

Get Involved!

Academic Technology & Outreach works with numerous MSU partners, community organizations and private individuals. We welcome your ideas and insights on how the university's outreach and engagement efforts can further improve the lives of Montana citizens. We are particularly interested in partnering on grant proposals.

 

MSU Outreach & Engagement Council

The Outreach & Engagement Council was established to strategically champion engagement at Montana State University. The Council acknowledges the critical role and value of service, outreach and engagement at MSU and exists to support faculty, staff and students as they commit to this strategic goal. 

 

Carnegie Community Engagement Classification

MSU was again recognized with the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification in 2020,an elective designation that indicates institutional commitment to community engagement by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. MSU was one of 119 U.S. colleges and universities to receive the designation.
