A New Modern Interface and Learning Dashboard

Starting May 20, 2026, MSU Continuing and Professional Education students will be invited to use our new course registration and student portal called Genius. This course portal features a modern interface and a learning dashboard that gives you easy access to course offerings and materials — all in one place.

*OLLI members: This transition does not affect OLLI programs at this time. We will be in touch when changes apply.

Explore Courses and Create an Account

Once the new portal is live on May 20, you can view the updated course catalog and create a new account to register for courses. This page will provide instructions on how to create your new account and register for courses in the new course portal. Here’s a quick preview.

  1. Find and select a course(s): Easily browse our new course portal catalog and find the course(s) that suit your interests, location, and learning preferences.
  2. Create an account: Once you’ve added a course(s) to your cart, you will be prompted to create a new learner account to complete your initial course registration. If you have previously registered for a course through MSU Academic Technology and Outreach (ATO), your old login credentials will not work in the new course portal.
  3. Access your course(s): After your account is active, you will be able to log in to access your courses and explore your new dashboard which will include a message center, links to course materials, and more. Please allow approximately one week for previous course registrations to be migrated to your new account.
