Local Help for Abuse, Assault and Manipulation in Relationships
In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April), join us for a series of presentations by community organizations about locally available support and resources for abuse, assault and manipulation in relationships.
These presentations are free and open to the public; no advance registration is required.
All presentations will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Bozeman Public Library, 626 East Main Street.
MSU Campus Civil Rights

This presentation will provide an overview of the MSU Campus Civil Rights (CCR) office as a resource, including:
- Realities of reporting on a college campus,
- Review what happens at CCR when a report is received,
- Discuss the realities of interpersonal violence on campus,
- Review CCR’s mission towards equity and supporting people at any point in their journey (including info on how we support people if they left MSU due to their experiences and want to return).

Learn more about Haven, a fixture of the local community for 40 years, and their mission to provide safe, effective support for those dealing with domestic violence, sex trafficking and stalking. This presentation will detail the support line, emergency shelter, counseling services and legal advocacy that Haven provides for Gallatin County, as well as a discussion on the meaning of consent.

Emily Mangas
Bozeman Health's Forensic Nursing Program provides medical assistance and support to those affected by sexual assault and abuse. The Forensic Nursing team is comprised of trained professionals who will be able to collect and safely process evidence necessary for sexual assault cases, as well as provide access to appropriate resources for those impacted.
