Take the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Exams at Spring Water School 2026

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) will administer the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Exams at Spring Water School.

There will be 1.5 days of water and wastewater certification review sessions (8:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, through noon Friday, May 29), followed by the administration of the certification exams at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29.

If you plan to take an Operator Certification Exam at Spring Water School 2026, you must register.

How to Register

If you plan to take an Operator Certification Exam at Spring Water School 2026, you must register for the exams 15 days in advance. If you are submitting a new application to become a certified operator you must register 30 days before the exam date.

You must also pay MDEQ directly for the exams. You CANNOT register for or pay for the exams at Spring Water School 2026.
