Panopto is MSU's officially supported lecture capture tool and is available to faculty, staff and students.
Lecture capture describes any technology that records live instruction, (including screen capture, audio from mic and webcam video) and makes it available digitally for later viewing/listening.
Record and view multiple camera streams in a single video
The Web-based screen recorder does not require any local installation and supports a variety of operating systems
Including all captions and any words that show on screen
Access analytics on who is watching content and for how long.
Machine-generated captions can also be downloaded, edited, and uploaded with an online video editor.
Panopto's adaptive streaming capabilities better serve viewers with low-bandwidth conditions.
You can add and manage your video files inside your Brightspace classroom folders. You can also link or embed live webcasts and on-demand recordings as Brightspace course content.
Record anywhere with the Panopto Mobile App for iOS and the Panopto Mobile App for Android.
Email panopto@montana.edu.
Individual training sessions are available by appointment with Katrina Bitz, Instructional Technology Support Specialist.
