Apps for Canvas

Canvas offers tailored apps for instructors and students, each designed to simplify access to courses and resources. With multiple apps varying in purpose and color, make sure to download the Canvas Teacher app if you’re an instructor or the Canvas Student app if you’re a student. 

For teachers: 

Canvas Teacher is a mobile app that allows teachers to facilitate their courses on the go, both inside and outside the classroom. This app provides quick access to grading, communicating, and updating—three of the most frequent course facilitation tasks for teachers through Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes. For students:  

The Canvas Student app allows students to access their courses and groups using a mobile device. Students can submit assignments, participate in discussions, view grades, and access course materials. The app also provides access to course calendars, To Do items, notifications, and Inbox messages.
