Canvas is now available to faculty
Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce that Canvas is now available to faculty. We encourage you to log in, explore and familiarize yourself with its features.
As a reminder, we will continue using D2L Brightspace for all teaching and learning activities through Spring 2025 and begin teaching in Canvas in Summer 2025. D2L Brightspace will no longer be available after June 1, 2025.
To support you during this transition, we’ve created a website, ato.montana.edu/canvas, where you can find:
- Instructor and Student Resources: Tutorials and training information to help you get started with Canvas.
- Migration Information: Resources to help you migrate your course materials to Canvas or fine-tune the courses the university will migrate for you.
- Communications: Access to all updates and announcements regarding the transition.
Next steps:
- Log in to Canvas and start exploring its features or browse through our Growing with Canvas course.
- Sign up for live training sessions or view self-service resources.
- Explore your migration options to plan your course transition.
