Complete important step for D2L Brightspace-to-Canvas transition by June 1

The university’s migration to Canvas only copies course content from the D2L Brightspace learning management system. The automated process does not migrate student data, assignments, work, discussions, grades or quizzes. If you need to retain this data for future use, please download it from D2L Brightspace before June 1, 2025. After that time, it will no longer be available.

I’m pleased to let you know that Montana State University will be upgrading to a new learning management system: Canvas. The new LMS was selected by the Montana University System and will be deployed at all MUS campuses. At MSU, Canvas will replace D2L/Brightspace, our current LMS.
